Massage is generally considered part of complementary and alternative medicine. It’s increasingly being offered along with standard treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and situations. Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrate that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain and muscle tension.
While more research is needed to confirm the benefits of massage, some studies have found massage may also be helpful for:
- Sports injuries
- and more!
Beyond the benefits for specific conditions or diseases, some people enjoy massage because it often involves caring, comfort, a sense of empowerment and creating deep connections with their own body’s self healing process.
Despite its benefits, massage isn’t meant as a replacement for regular medical care. Let your doctor know you’re trying massage and be sure to follow any standard treatment plans you have.
Lynne Glacé is a Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist (CRTS).
The technique, developed by Young Living Founder and CEO D. Gary Young, draws from his experience with Lakota wellness traditions and provides a revolutionary means of aligning the body and mind.
Young Living’s proprietary Raindrop Technique® combines unique, targeted massage with pure, authentic essential oils for a deeply harmonizing, rejuvenating, and relaxing experience.
Everyone experiences the Raindrop Technique® differently, depending on his or her body. Recipients may experience fatigue, increased energy, emotional release, or other short-term effects. The long benefits can be profound. We provide a safe and supportive space for every experience.
The Raindrop Harmonics Technique is based on the harmonics in the human being.
The focus is on the importance of chinese energetics that underlies choice of points for Vibrational Raindrop Technique; light/color on reflex systems of the body (auricular, hands, feet); using sound, light, gemstones, sacred geometry, and more on the Neuro-Endocrine Centers of the body (chakras – major and minor; Great Points), and Vibrational Auricular Technique and its foundation of chinese energetics.
This technique has been developed by Dr. Christi Bonds-Garrett of Kentucky Integrative Medicine.
Color is simply light of varying wavelengths and, as such, is a form of energy that is used in Color Therapy.
Color Therapy aims to balance and enhance our body’s energy centers by using the colors of the light spectrum, which can help to stimulate our body’s own healing process.
Color Therapy can be used for any problem whether, physical, mental, emotional or spiritual for specific problems as well as an over all relaxation therapy. It can be the catalyst for our healing process and encourages normal and healthy workings of the body.
